About Me

A few things you should know about me are that I love being a wife, I am a new mommy, I love my family, that family-- that I love-- is a little crazy, I am one of those looney people who chose to spend the rest of my life in a classroom with 24 six-year-olds, and I am not perfect.
My husband and I were high school sweethearts. He was a jock and a total hottie. I got lucky. Being married to him is at the top of my "life's little gifts" list.
Speaking of that list, as you know, this blog is all about those little gifts that make life a little sweeter, just like a spoon full of sugar.
The blog title was inspired by my son, my "little sugar". He has made everyday since he has been born so much sweeter, thus making him my sweetest gift so far.

More of my life's little spoon fulls of sweetness include...

  • Group texting using emojis with my two sisters.
  • The sound of my husband snoring next to me.
  • The way the wind knows just how to push your hair around with the windows down in the summer as you drive.
  • The way that my daddy kisses the side my forehead when he hugs me.
  • Babies toes.
  • That God gave me a wonderful step mom who never made me feel like a step daughter.
  • Vacuum lines on the carpet.
  • The way my mom instinctively runs her fingers through my hair when she knows I don't feel well.
  • The sound of the screen door slamming at my grandmama's house followed by "Honey, I'm so glad your here!"
  • When dinner is done and I didn't cook it.
  • Goose bumps
  • Bible verses that give you those goosebumps
  • Going to bed with wet hair
  • Lists like this one.
  • A baby's kicks as God knits them together inside you
  • Freshly painted toenails
  • Polynesian sauce at Chick-fil-a
  • The sound of my baby cooing.
...There are more added everyday. Life is full of little gifts you just have to slow down and notice them. Follow my blog as I discover the "Spoon Full of Sugar" God offers me with each new day.
